Hey, guys!

We are so excited that many of you have registered for School Year Tutoring 09-10! What that means is a lot of tutoring inquiries. Unfortunately, just two weeks into registration we are at intake capacity, which means that all tutoring registration is suspended until September 1st. Give us a call then and we'd be happy to get you signed up.

Also, stay tuned for our Fall 2009 class schedule in mid-August.

Carnegie Center Fundraiser

Shop at Good Foods Co-op? Here's your chance to help the Carnegie Center:

Good Foods Co-op is doing a fundraiser for the Carnegie Center through July and August. They will have information up at the co-op, and donation jars sitting at each register, encouraging customers to donate. At the end of the program, the co-op will add 25% to the total amount collected and present it to us.

If you are interested in other ways to donate to the Carnegie Center, check out these opportunities here. We also still need school supplies for our Back to School Bash.

We appreciate all of your generous gifts!

July 20-24
8:30 am-12:30 pm

Did you know Kentucky is teeming with talented musicians, storytellers, archaeologists, craftspeople, and artists? Spend a week with this camp and learn about the gifts that keep on giving in our state. Find out what it’s like to put together a story and perform it, try your hand at a new craft, and what it takes to preserve our state’s heritage! Prepare to be dazzled by your Bluegrass state! Led by Bianca Spriggs-Floyd

July 20-24
1:00-5:00 pm

Starting from the Carnegie Center, we’ll head west (mostly) to explore the downtown area. We’ll sketch, photograph and write about the places, plantings and people we observe along the way. Each day we’ll investigate a different route, documenting what we find, then we’ll stop at Sisohpromatem Art Foundation (on West Short Street) to create art based on your impressions and found objects from the areas we visit! Led by Sonja Brooks.

We hope to hear from you soon!
