Thank you Waldenbooks

The Carnegie Center was thrilled to receive several copies of Don Freeman's Corduroy from Waldenbooks for Jumpstart's Read for the Record Day. This year's event broke the world record with 425, 565 readers nationwide.

Thank you Waldenbooks! Our tutoring pairs loved participating in this great event. The staff all took time to read Corduory, too.

Here's Amy McCleese, CCLL volunteer coordinator, with our Corduroy cart!

If you haven't read Corduroy, you should definitely check it out. it is a classic. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the release of the book and it remains a favorite of kids and adults alike.
